We’re on a mission to humanise technology by developing real-time, AI personas who feel as natural as interacting with a human.

Why? How we interact with technology today has tonnes of friction, it isn’t truly intuitive or interactive. We’ve defaulted to a 1-many approach because of the limitations of tech rather than a 1-1 personalised approach, relevant to the individual, not the masses. Our vision is to build the next computer interface, one that mimics how we have communicated for millennia by developing AI personas who feel as natural as interacting with a human.

We started this journey in late 2023. Since then we have grown the team to 15, developed our own foundational video models with our bespoke IP, and have hundreds of customers, big and small, who we work with closely. We’ve raised $11.5M in this period and are backed by leading VCs from Redpoint Ventures, SV Angel, Concept Ventures, Torch Capital and angels from Elevenlabs, Spotify and Modal.

Where you come in We need an exceptional backend engineer to work alongside our founding team. You'll architect and build the systems that power our AI humans, working across our entire stack. This includes designing real-time communication systems, optimizing our AI pipeline, and ensuring our infrastructure can scale to millions of users.

You'll work directly with Robbie, our lead backend engineer, and collaborate closely with our Research team to deploy and optimize AI models in production. As an early hire, you'll have significant influence over our technical direction and help shape our engineering culture.

You have

• Strong experience building distributed systems at scale
• Ability to pick up new technologies on the fly
• Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with both technical and non-technical team members
